National Bird Peacock save by PAWS-Mumbai

Sunday July 13, 2008
Guest of morning in Bhandup rescued by PAWS-Mumbai team
1. The peacock had escaped from the Sanjay Gandhi National Park and entered a residential area of Patkar Compound Bhandup
2.PAWS-Mumbai team arrived at the scene and rescued the bird
3. PAWS-Mumbai team also informed the Bhandup Police about the unique incident before taking the bird to SGNP
4.Rescued Peacock taking to SGNP in PAWS-Mumbai Rescue Van – Cum – Ambulance

9. PAWS-Mumbai took the bird to Sanjay Gandhi National Park where it was examined by the veterinary Dr. Vinaya Jangale
10. After Check-up the Peacock was taken to release in the natural habitat
11. Rescued Peacock with Volunteer’s from PAWS-Mumbai & SGNP Staff in the forest
